Benjamin Jones has requested an allocation permit for one proposed irrigation well. The maximum daily withdrawal is 720,000 gallons per day. The well is located north of Ellendale in Sussex County, near the intersection of DuPont Highway and Hudon Pond Road. Tax parcel 230-19.00-22.00.

Charles H. West, Inc. has requested an allocation permit for 10 existing irrigation wells. The maximum daily withdrawal for the wells is 5,306,400 gallons per day. The wells are located southwest and northeast of Frederica in Kent County.  Tax parcels MD-00-150.01-03-01.00, MD-00-141.00-01-24.00, MD-00-162.00-01-60.00, SM-00-114.00-01-01.00, and MN-00-160.00-01-20.00.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received by July 15, 2019, at 4:30 p.m.  A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
