Final Plan of Remedial Action for the NVF-Yorklyn Operable Unit #4 (DE-0071)

Division of Waste and Hazardous Substances
Start Date: August 4, 2019
End Date: August 26, 2019

The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of Operable Unit #4 of the NVF-Yorklyn Site, located in Yorklyn, Delaware.  The Operable Unit contains approximately 1,250 linear feet of railroad track and right-of-way.  Surface soil and subsurface soil have been impacted by historic activities.  During removal of the old track, any excavated soil needs to be segregated, properly disposed of, and shall not be used to grade the new right-of-way.

DNREC issued public notice of the Proposed Plan for Operable Unit #4 of the NVF-Yorklyn Site on July 7, 2019.  There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan.  Details of the Final Plan are available at the office of DNREC-RS (391 Lukens Drive, New Castle, DE, 19720), or online at: http://www.nav.dnrec.delaware.gov/DEN3/
