The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control’s Division of Air Quality (DNREC-DAQ) will conduct a public hearing (Docket #2020-P-A-0006) on Agilent Technologies, Inc. – Newport Site permit application for a 7 DE Admin, Code 1102 Natural Minor Permit (State Permit Number: APC-2020/0060).
A public hearing will be held on the below application on Thursday, March 12, 2020, beginning at 6:00 PM in the Pat Ellis Conference Room and the B Conference Room at the DNREC – Division of Waste and Hazardous Substances Office (entrance at rear of the building), located at 391 Lukens Drive, New Castle, DE 19720. Notice is hereby given that Agilent Technologies Inc. Newport Site has applied to DNREC-DAQ for a 7 DE Admin Code No. 1102 Natural Minor permit (State Permit Number: APC-2020/0060), for one Crest Ultrasonic Corporation, Model Solvac S1-1010, ultrasonic vapor degreaser at their 538 First State Blvd, Newport, Delaware location. The new equipment will remove dust, dirt, and oils from parts through immersing them in a vapor solvent. The Company’s production will not increase due to the installation of the degreaser. The degreaser comes equipped with both a working mode and downtime mode cover to reduce emissions. Should this permit be issued, the degreaser will have the potential to emit Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) by Permit: APC-2020/0060-Operation.
The public hearing is a formal platform to offer public comment that goes on the record regarding the permit application request. All comments received will be taken into consideration prior to any final action taken by the Secretary on the permit.
