Water Allocation Permit Applications

Kathryn B. Gooden, Trustee has requested an allocation permit for two proposed irrigation wells. The maximum daily withdrawal is 576,000 gallons per day. The wells will be located northwestof Harrington in Kent County, near the intersection of Black Swamp and Hills Market Roads. Tax parcel MN-00-147-01-69.00.

John Rogers has requested an allocation permit for one proposed agricultural well. The maximum daily withdrawal is 864,000 gallons per day. The well will be located east of Laurel in SussexCounty, near the intersection of Shiloh Church and Laurel Roads. Tax parcel 232-18.00-10.00.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received by April 20, 2020, at 4:30 p.m.  A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
