Allocation Permit

Wellesley Rehoboth, LP has requested an allocation permit for three proposed irrigation wells. The maximum daily withdrawal is 31,000 gallons per day. The wells will be located west of the town of Rehoboth Beach in Sussex County, near the intersection of Mulberry Knoll Road and John J. Williams Highway. Tax parcel 334-12.00-113.00 and tax parcel 334-12.00-116.00.

Betts Farm, LP has requested an allocation permit for one proposed irrigation well. The maximum daily withdrawal is 3,000 gallons per day. The well will be located northwest of the town of Harrington in Kent County, near the intersection of Hopkins Cemetery and Hills Market Roads. Tax parcel 148-01-14.00.

The Cape Windsor Community has applied for an allocation of its four public wells which will be serving approximately 140 residential and 500 transient people in Sussex County.  The application includes three existing public wells and one new public well. The requested allocation is 0.06 MG per day, 1.98 MG per month, and 12.76 MG per year.

Alternative Method of Compliance

Allan Warren has applied for an Alternative Method of Compliance under Section 12.0 of The Delaware Regulations Governing the Construction and Use of Wells to construct a Public well to serve a convenience market.  The property is located at 4937 Hickman Road, Greenwood, DE, 19950. Tax map parcel # 5-30-3.00-6.02.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received by May 25, 2020, at 4:30 p.m.  A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
