Notice has been given that:
University of Delaware requests a permit to construct a 750 kW natural gas-fired emergency generator at 529 South College Avenue, in Newark, Delaware. The engine used in this generator complies with U.S. EPA regulations under the provisions of 40 CFR Part 1048 and 40 CFR Part 60 Subpart JJJJ. The emergency generator will operate only during emergencies and for the purposes of maintenance checks and readiness testing. Permit No. APC-2020/0150-Construction.

A public hearing on the above application will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding the application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending June 8, 2020. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
