Join the Reserve staff around a campfire at the Blackbird Creek Reserve to learn about horseshoe crabs and their relationship with the moon.

CampfireHorseshoe crabs are seen on the beach around the full moon, but why?  How can they tell that it is a full moon? How does the horseshoe crabs’ relationship with the moon affect their sight? If you have ever asked yourself these questions (or others!) then join us around the campfire!

Feel free to bring your own s’mores supplies for roasting.
