This is a three-day, in-person basic hunter education course for new hunters. Students must attend all three days (September 26 and October 1, and 3) to be certified.

Delaware law requires all basic hunter education course participants to participate in a live firing experience. Live firing of shotguns requires a liability release signed by students 18 or older or a notarized signature of parents/guardians of students under the age of 18. Signed liability releases must be mailed-in, ahead of the class, to:

Pre-registration is required. The course is free.

Do not bring ammunition or guns to class – both will be provided.

Students must bring eye and ear protection (safety glasses and hearing protection) and should dress for the weather (shooting will be outdoors).
