Teams of middle school students from around the state will gather virtually to show the solar-powered model cars they’ve built for the Annual Junior Solar Sprint.

The Junior Solar Sprint is a statewide challenge of ingenuity, engineering, and speed. It is part of a national competition and is co-sponsored in Delaware by the Division of Climate, Coastal and Energy and the Delaware Technology Student Association.

DNREC Secretary Shawn M. Garvin has been invited to provide opening remarks for the virtual event on April 27 and, later in the program, announce the winners.
