The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control’s Division of Air Quality has canceled the scheduled public hearing (Docket #2020-P-A-0006) on Agilent Technologies, Inc. – Newport Site permit application for a 7 DE Admin, Code 1102 Natural Minor Permit.
Agilent Technologies Inc., Newport Site, has applied for a Natural Minor permit for one Crest Ultrasonic Corporation, Model Solvac S1-1010, ultrasonic vapor degreaser at their 538 First State Blvd, Newport, Delaware location. The new equipment will remove dust, dirt, and oils from parts through immersing them in a vapor solvent. The Company’s production will not increase due to the installation of the degreaser. The degreaser comes equipped with both a working mode and downtime mode cover to reduce emissions. Should this permit be issued, the degreaser will have the potential to emit Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC).
