A free, one-week program for youth aged 12 to 15 who are interested in boating, fishing and hunting.
The Police Youth Academy offers young adults a personal awareness of Delaware’s great outdoors through training, practical experiences, competition, and other activities. It promotes personal growth through character development, respect for the rule of law, and physical fitness.
Participants attend a mock police academy where they learn about various aspects of natural resources law enforcement, and boating and hunting safety, and participate in field activities. Each participant will receive both their hunter and boating safety certifications.
The Youth Academies are free and open to eligible youth between the ages of 12 and 15. Registration is required by May 29, 2020. Activities run between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Lunch is provided.
