Join the Delaware Nature Society and help plant trees in the Middle Run Natural Area in New Castle County.

The Delaware Nature Society is part of the Tree for Every Delawarean Initiative (TEDI), which aims to plant one tree for every Delawarean.

Volunteers — individuals, families, friends, scouts and other groups interested in helping — are needed to dig holes, plant, cage and water up to 600 trees.

Volunteers should bring shovels, gloves and a water container (bucket or gal milk jug). This is a “rain or shine” event — dress for the weather.

Children are welcome but each child must be accompanied by an adult.

This a free event, but registration is required.
