Creating native plant gardens, with an emphasis on attracting pollinators, has many benefits. Flowering plants provide food and are essential for local water quality. They absorb nutrients, prevent erosion and purify water.
Plants rely on pollinators — insects and animals moving pollen from one plant to another — to produce fruit, vegetables and nuts. Insect pollinators are declining because of pesticide use and loss of habitat and host plants. Native plant gardens can help. They provide greater opportunities for nectar and reproduction.
A limited amount of free Milkweed Seeds will be available.
