A virtual public workshop to discuss the State’s plastic bag ban and introduce draft At-Store Recycling Program Regulations.

Starting in January, 2021, many single-use plastic carryout bags will be banned in Delaware and some stores will be required to provide at-store recycling of plastic bags.

The workshop will cover these changes and gather public feedback on draft regulations to implement and support this program. It will include a discussion of which stores will be impacted and what that impact will look like, and how plastic bag collection programs at stores can meet the requirements of the law.

Residents, store owners and managers, waste service providers, retailers, recycling processors, plastic bag manufacturers, and environmental organizations should attend the workshop.
