The winning entries for the 2020 edition of the Delaware Trout Stamp Contest were chosen by a panel of judges at an event held on April 4, 2019 at the Dover Public Library.
The 2020 Trout Stamp will feature a painting of a rainbow trout by Jeffrey Klinefelter of Etna Green, Indiana. Mr. Klinefelter received $250 for Best in Show and retains artist’s rights for reproduction and sales of prints of the stamp. Eric Jablonowski, of Suwanee, Georgia, took second place with a rainbow trout. Third place was Ryan Rickaby,of Green Bay, Wisconsin, with a brown trout.
Honorable mentions went to Jeffrey Klinefelter, of Etna Green, Indiana, Ryan Peterson, of Jackson, Wyoming and Micah Hanson, of St. Charles, Minnestoa. All three submitted paintings of brown trout.
The 2020 Trout Stamp judges were: Cathy Martin; angler; Noel Kuhrt, collector- angler; Roy Miller, angler; Ian Park, fisheries biologist; and Captain Nick Couch, Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police.
