The winning entries for the 2021 edition of the Delaware Trout Stamp Contest were chosen by a panel of five judges who independently inspected the artwork by appointment on Oct. 1, 2020 in the DNREC Auditorium.
The 2020 Trout Stamp will feature a painting of a brown trout by Dennis Arp, of Culbertson, Nebraska . Mr. Arp received $250 for Best in Show and retains artist’s rights for reproduction and sales of prints of the stamp. George Bradford of Georgetown, Delaware, took second place with a brown trout. Third place was Eric Jablonowski of Suwanee, Georgia, with a brown trout.
Honorable mentions went (left to right) to Stephen Hamrick, of Lakeville, Minnesota with a rainbow trout; Ryan Peterson of Jackson, Wyoming with a brown trout; and David Weaver of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania with a brook trout.
The 2021 Trout Stamp judges were Tommy Unruh, Advisory Council on Wildlife and Freshwater Fish, Ed O’Donnell, angler, Sam Palermo, angler, Noel Kuhrt, collector-angler, Des Kahn, angler-retired fisheries biologist.
