Permit Application

Notice has been given that:

AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, LP, requests a construction/operation permit to operate one (1) 177kW (237 HP) Clarke Model JU6H-UFAD88 fire pump at their 587 Old Baltimore Pike, Newark facility.  The fire pump will be permitted to emit 0.06 TPY of NOx, 0.002 TPY of HC, 0.02 TPY of CO, 4.25E-5 TPY of SO2 and 0.002 TPY of PM10 by Permit# APC-2020/0004-CONSTRUCTION/OPERATION.

The application for this permit may be reviewed upon request.  The application is posted at de.gov/dnrecnotices.  To submit comments, for additional information or for information regarding how you can inspect the application, please contact Tracy Mattson at (302) 739‑9402.

A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending August 3, 2020.  A request for a hearing shall be in writing.  The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
