Permit Application

Notice has been given that:

Austin and Bednash Construction, Inc., requests a permit to operate one (1) 400 TPH Mobile Jaw Crusher powered by a Caterpillar 350 HP engine fired on diesel fuel and associated screener and stacker at 39 Brookhill Drive, Newark, New Castle County. The Mobile Jaw Crusher, screener and stacker will be permitted to emit 0.90 TPY of PM, 0.45 TPY of PM10, 0.24 TPY of HC, 3.02 TPY of CO, 3.47 TPY of NOx, and 0.31 TPY of SOx by Permit: APC-2014/0027-OPERATION (MNSR)(NSPS)(Amendment 4).

The application for this permit may be reviewed upon request. The application is posted at de.gov/dnrecnotices. To submit comments, for additional information or for information regarding how you can inspect the application, please contact Tracy Mattson at (302) 739‑9402.

A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending January 24, 2022. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
