7 DE Admin. Code 1102 Natural Minor Permit Applications: Chemours Discovery Hub

Notice has been given that:

Chemours Discovery Hub requests an amendment to their natural minor operating Permit # APC-2019/0005 – OPERATION for the Fluid Grinding Mill with associated scrubber and dust collector at their 201 Discovery Blvd, Newark, County of New Castle facility. The proposed amendment increases the permit limit for total particulate matter (PM), including PM10 and PM2.5, from 0.50 ton per year to 1.33 tons per year based on corrected Potential to Emit calculations. It also allows for the fugitive dust collector to be shut down when the room’s local ventilation pick-ups are not in use. Permit # APC-2019/0005 – OPERATION (AMENDMENT 1).

A public hearing on the above application will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending Monday, February 27, 2023. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
