Permit Application

Notice has been given that:

Eastern Shore Natural Gas requests a permit to construct one (1) 1,875 brake horsepower natural gas-fired Caterpillar G3606 compressor engine, which will be equipped with an oxidation catalyst, at their 17035 Black Cherry Drive facility in Bridgeville. Emissions from the compressor engine, as controlled by the oxidation catalyst, are expected to meet the applicable standards established by Subpart JJJJ to 40 CFR Part 60. The compressor engine is will be permitted to emit up to 1.24 pounds per hour (#/hr) and 5.43 tons per year (TPY) of nitrogen oxides, 0.72 #/hr and 3.16 TPY of carbon monoxide, 0.01 #/hr and 0.04 TPY of sulfur oxides, 0.16 #/hr and 0.70 TPY of particulate matter (PM10/PM2.5­), 0.42 #/hr and 1.85 TPY of volatile organic compounds, and 0.40 #/hr and 1.74 TPY of hazardous air pollutants by Permit: APC-2022/0018-CONSTRUCTION.

A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending December 13, 2021. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
