Permit Application

Notice has been given that:

Perdue AgriBusiness, LLC has requested an amendment to existing Permits: APC-2002/0722 & 0723-CONSTRUCTION/OPERATION (Amendment 5) to allow for the construction of a new conveyor to replace an existing screw auger, which would increase the facility’s hourly grain receiving capacity, as well as to allow for the receipt of soybean meal by truck and subsequent loadout of the soybean meal to barges at their 300 New Street facility in Seaford. The proposed construction of the conveyor to replace the existing screw auger is expected to increase hourly emissions of filterable particulate matter from 4.38 pounds per hour to 8.4 pounds per hour, but have no impact on annual emissions. The proposed receipt and loadout of soybean meal will be permitted to emit up to 52.65 tons of total particulate matter by Permits: APC-2002/0722 & 0723-CONSTRUCTION/OPERATION (Amendment 6).

The application for this permit may be reviewed upon request. The application is posted at de.gov/dnrecnotices. To submit comments, for additional information or for information regarding how you can inspect the application, please contact Tracy Mattson at (302) 739‑9402.

A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending October 4, 2021. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
