Permit Application

Notice has been given that:

United Cocoa Processor, Inc., requests four construction permits to construct one (1) Bean Intake and Cleaning Process with Baghouse, one (1) Infrared Machine with Cyclone, one (1) Winnower with Baghouse, and two (1) Raw Nib Silo C&D with Baghouse at their 701 Pencader Drive, Newark Delaware facility. The equipment will be permitted to emit 5.07 TPY of Particulate Matter (PM), 0.04 TPY of Volatile Organic Chemicals (VOC), 0.75 TPY of Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), 0.63 TPY of Carbon Monoxide (CO), 0.004 TPY of Sulfur Oxides (SOx), and 0.001 TPY of Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAP) by Permit# Permit: APC-2021/0056 for the Bean Intake and Cleaning, Permit: APC-2021/0057 for the Infrared Machine, Permit: APC-2021/0058 for the Winnower, and Permit: APC-2021/0059 for the two silos.

A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending January 11, 2020. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
