Division of Waste and Hazardous Substances

Published: Jan. 2, 2022

The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the 2925 Northeast Boulevard Site located in Wilmington. The Site is a former industrial laundering facility that utilized perchloroethylene (PCE) as its cleaning agent. 2925 Northeast Boulevard will be subject to the following key remedial actions: The submittal and adherence to a Contaminated Materials Management Plan (CMMP) and long-term stewardship plan, and the placement of an environmental covenant that will restrict the site’s use, the use of groundwater, and require the installation of a vapor barrier under future structures.

DNREC issued a public notice of the Amended Proposed Plan for the 2925 Northeast Boulevard Site on October 31, 2021. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Amended Proposed Plan. Details of the Amended Final Plan are available online at: den.dnrec.delaware.gov
