Federal Consistency Form

A Federal Consistency Certification has been submitted to the Delaware Coastal Management Program for the following: ESNG Polk Branch Creek Crossing (2021.0037)

Eastern Shore Natural Gas Company (ESNG) is proposing to relocate 680 linear feet of a 6-inch diameter buried natural gas pipeline adjacent to the eastern side of U.S. Route 13 in the Bridgeville area of Sussex County, DE. This portion of ESNG’s pipeline is located within the footprint of work associated with a DelDOT scour hole remediation project and must be relocated so the remediation work can proceed safely. The proposed project area consists of the limit of disturbance for the proposed pipeline relocation as well as an approximately 75×25-foot area of temporary workspace associated with a proposed stopple fitting, located approximately 1.5 miles north of Polk Branch. The proposed project requires acquisition of a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nationwide Permit 3 and a Federal Energy Regulatory Commission automatic authorization blanket certificate, pursuant to 18 CFR 157, subpart F.
