Federal Consistency Form

A Federal Consistency Certification has been submitted to the Delaware Coastal Management Program for the following: South Shore Marina Entrance Channel Relocation (2022.0060)

South Shore Moorings, LLC. proposes to relocate the entrance channel of a 92-slip marina to a location with greater depth and low potential for sand deposition to eliminate the need for frequent maintenance dredging. The project would create a new 60-foot wide entrance channel through an existing 46-foot wide rock jetty and close the existing marina entrance channel with 155 linear feet of new rock jetty. Additionally, the project would include the construction of a 150-foot long pile-supported timber wave screen at the new marina entrance and the removal of a 40-foot portion of the existing northerly rock jetty.
