A Federal Consistency Certification has been submitted to the Delaware Coastal Management Program for the following: White Creek Dredging and Beneficial Use (2022.0039)

On behalf of the DNREC, Division of Watershed Stewardship, Anchor QEA proposes to hydraulically dredge 70,000 cubic yards of material from White Creek (including the main channel and two prongs at the headwaters) and Assawoman Canal channel in Sussex County, Delaware. Dredged material will be transported via pipeline running the length of the Assawoman Canal to the beneficial use placement site at Muddy Neck Marsh Complex, within Assawoman Wildlife Area, and used to restore the highly degraded coastal salt marsh through thin layer placement.

Comments concerning this Federal Consistency Certification will be accepted for 30 days from the date of this notice.
