The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the 601 Justison Street Site located in Wilmington. The Site, once part of the Wilmington Coal Gas South Site, which manufactured coal gas and was also used for parking. The Site requires capping, installation of a vapor barrier under buildings, Long-Term Stewardship Plan, updating of a Contaminated Material Management Plan and restricting groundwater use.

DNREC issued a public notice of the Proposed Plan for the 601 Justison Street Site on April 18, 2021. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan.
