Final Plan of Remedial Action for Former Del Campo Bakery Site (DE-1736)

Division of Waste and Hazardous Substances

Published: March 6, 2022

The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the Former Del Campo Bakery Site located at 2006 Rodman Road in Wilmington. The Site is a former bakery that had underground and aboveground storage tanks.

The Former Del Campo Bakery Site will be subject to the following key remedial actions: Either removal of contaminated shallow soil or capping of the Site, the submittal and adherence to a Contaminated Materials Management Plan (CMMP) and long term stewardship plan, and the placement of an environmental covenant that will restrict the site’s use and the use of groundwater.

DNREC issued a public notice of the Proposed Plan for the Former Del Campo Bakery Site on February 6, 2022. There were no substantive comments or questions from the public regarding the Amended Proposed Plan. Details of the Final Plan are available online at: den.dnrec.delaware.gov
