Final Plan of Remedial Action For Schooner Landing Site (DE-1766)

Division of Waste and Hazardous Substances

Published: March 6, 2022

The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the Schooner Landing Site located in Selbyville. The Site was previously used for strawberry cultivation and consists of three former greenhouse structures in a wooded lot. The Site requires the submittal of a Remedial Action Work Plan which specifies the methods to be used to remediate the site including the removal and disposal of primarily arsenic-impacted soils to meet DNREC Hazardous Substance Cleanup Act (HSCA) standards, development and compliance with the Contaminated Materials Management Plan (CMMP), the recording of an Environmental Covenant restricting groundwater withdrawal and compliance with the CMMP, and the submittal of a Remedial Action Completion Report.

DNREC issued a public notice of the Proposed Plan for the Schooner Landing Site on February 9, 2022. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan. Details of the Final Plan are available online at: den.dnrec.delaware.gov
