The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the 1175 East 7th Street Site [DE1775] located in Wilmington. The Site was once used as a municipal landfill for the City of Wilmington. The required remediation actions to be taken at the Site include: a restriction on property use to non-residential and on the use of groundwater at the Site, capping of contaminated soils, compliance with a contaminated materials management plan, and long-term monitoring to prevent exposure to existing Site soils and groundwater for future Site users.

DNREC issued a public notice of the Proposed Plan for the 1175 East 7th Street Site on July 10, 2022. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan. Details of the Final Plan are available online at: den.dnrec.delaware.gov
