Non-Hazardous Liquid Waste Transporters Permit Applications

Sussex Sanitation has applied to the Groundwater Discharges Section for a Non-Hazardous Liquid Waste Transporters Permit to transport portable toilet waste, to be disposed of at the Town of Laurel, Kent County Sewer System and Sussex County Sewer System.

Ken Burns Sanitation Inc. has applied to the Groundwater Discharges Section for a Non-Hazardous Liquid Waste Transporters Permit to transport septage and grease trap waste and/or cooking oil waste, to be disposed of at out-of-state permitted facilities.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 15 days from this notice. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
