Notice of Draft Air Monitoring Network Plan

The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), Division of Air Quality (DAQ) is providing the public an opportunity to inspect and comment on the annual Air Monitoring Network Plan prior to submission of the final plan to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The annual plan is required to be submitted to the EPA each year by July 1st. This year Delaware was granted an extension to September 30th by the EPA. The annual monitoring network plan provides documentation of Delaware’s establishment and maintenance of the air quality monitoring program that consists of a network of monitoring stations that measure air pollution across the state. More information regarding specific pollutants and where they are monitored is available in the plan and on our website de.gov/airmonitoring.

The draft plan may be inspected online starting August 14th, 2022 at de.gov/dnrecnotices, contacting our New Castle office by phone at 302-739-9402 or by email at DNREC_DAQ_Monitoring@Delaware.gov.

The Department will accept public comment through the close of business on Thursday, September 15th, 2022. Comments will be accepted in written form via email to DNREC_DAQ_Monitoring@Delaware.gov or by U.S. mail to the following address:
