The Department invites public comment on a proposal to clean-up the 35 Commerce Street Site located in Wilmington, Delaware. Historically, the Site had been used as a window glass manufacturing company, a boat building company and a tugboat docking facility. The Site requires a use restriction to non-residential, groundwater use restriction, capping contaminated soil with DNREC-approved materials, Contaminated Materials Management Plan (CMMP), and Long-Term Stewardship to eliminate the exposure of future Site users to existing site soils and groundwater.
