Wastewater Facilities Construction Permit Application: Sussex County

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Water, hereby gives notice that a permit application has been received from:

Sussex County Council/Sussex County Engineering of Georgetown, Delaware, to construct a vacuum pump station, with dual vacuum and discharge sewage pumps and three thousand, one hundred linear feet (3,100 LF) of four (4) and six (6) inch forcemains to serve the existing Lochwood residential subdivision, located at 62 Lakeshore Drive, Lewes, Sussex County, Delaware. The pump station will be located within the residential subdivision, northwest of the intersection of Lakeshore Drive and Maplewood Drive. The forcemain will exit the pump station and head eastwards, along Lakeshore Drive and discharge into an existing gravity sewer, located southeast of the residential subdivision.

A public hearing concerning the above application will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious request for a hearing is received on or before February 19, 2023. A request for a public hearing shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
