Wastewater Facilities Construction Permit Applications: Sussex County Engineering Department

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Water, hereby gives notice that a permit application has been received from:

Sussex County Engineering Department, Georgetown, Delaware, to install a pump station with duplex submersible grinder pumps, thirteen (13) E-One type simplex grinder pumps, one thousand and five linear feet of two inch (1,005 LF of 2”) SDR-11 HDPE forcemain, forty two linear feet of two inch (42 LF 2”) SDR-21 PVC forcemain, one thousand six hundred and twenty six linear feet of one and half inch (1,626 LF of 1.5”) SDR-11 HDPE forcemain, five linear feet of two inch (5 LF of 2”) SCH 80 PVC forcemain and related appurtenances to serve the subdivision of Wolfe Runne, located south of Gills Neck Road and approximately 2 miles southeast of the Town of Lewes. The pump station, the grinder pumps and the forcemains are located within the residential subdivision.

A public hearing concerning the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious request for a hearing is received on or before January 10, 2021. A request for a public hearing shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
