Clarke Hastings has requested an allocation permit for one proposed irrigation well. The requested allocation is 0.92 million gallons (MG) per day, 7.39 MG per month, and 30.47 MG per year. The well will be located southwest of Laurel in Sussex County, near the intersection of Bacons and Horsey Church Roads. Tax parcel 532-5.00-13.00.

String Farms, LLC has requested an allocation permit for two proposed irrigation wells. The requested allocation is 0.41 million gallons (MG) per day, 6.52 MG per month, and 26.88 MG per year. The wells will be located east of Felton in Kent County, near the intersection of Scrap Tavern and Midstate Roads. Tax parcel SM-00-139.00-01-13.00.

Jones Whaley Properties, LLC has requested an allocation permit for one proposed irrigation well. The requested allocation is 0.16 million gallons (MG) per day, 2.50 MG per month, and 10.30 MG per year. The well will be located east of Laurel in Sussex County, near the intersection of Laurel and Jestice Farm Roads. Tax parcel 232-19.00-30.01.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received by March 8, 2021, at 4:30 p.m. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
