Water Allocation Permits

Rob the Ranger, LLC has requested an allocation permit for one proposed irrigation well and three existing irrigation wells. The requested allocation is 0.22 million gallons (MG) per day, 4.34 MG per month, and 17.38 MG per year. The wells will be located northeast of Georgetown in Sussex County, near the intersection of Gravel Hill Road and Lewes Georgetown Highway. Tax parcels 135-11.00-66.00, 135-11.00-66.01, 135-11.00-66.03, 135-11.00-156.00.

Tidewater Utilities, Inc. has requested a renewal and modification of its public water allocation for five existing public wells. The requested allocation is 1.463 MG per day, 40.097 MG per month, and 288.492 MG per year. The wells serve approximately 10,800 people in Sussex County.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received by August 2, 2021, at 4:30 p.m. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
