Subaqueous Lands Permit Application

James and Jean Bew (134-12.00-1006.00) – To install a jet-ski lift with one associated piling and utilize the existing structures in White Creek at 6 Christy Lane, Murray’s Haven, Ocean View, Sussex County, DE

Randy P. Gaines and Sally C. Gaines (134-13.19-112.01) – To construct a 20 foot long riprap revetment and a 5 by 20 foot long dock extension in the Bethany Loop Canal located at 313 Maryland Ave, Bethany Beach, Sussex County, DE

James Weisgerber (134-13.00-2185.00) – To install a 5 by 13 foot long floating dock with an associated ladder and a 5 by 14 foot long floating kayak dock connecting to a previously authorized structure.

Subaqueous Lands Lease Application

Billy Jane Wheatley and Lloyd P. Elliott (234-34.12-69.00) – To remove a 2 by 24 foot long finger pier, remove an 18 inch wide by 20 foot long finger pier, remove a 4 by 30 foot long linear dock and remove three (3) free-standing mooring pilings and to construct an extension to the existing docking facility composed of a 4 by 60 foot long pier extension, a 6 by 25 foot long linear dock, a boatlift with 4 associated pilings, a 4 by 20 foot long finger pier, two (2) free-standing mooring pilings and two (2) access ladders and to utilize all other existing structures in the Indian River located at 32584 River Road, Millsboro, Sussex County, DE.

Delaware Center for the Inland Bays (N/A) – To create an artificial oyster reef constructed with one subunit composed of seven (7) Wave Attenuation Devices and two (2) cinder block wings, and other distinct subunits composed of twenty (20) shell coir log diamond subunits, three (3) large loose shell piles and three (3) small loose shell piles, occupying approximately 3,700 square feet and to remove 6 derelict PVC poles and construct signage in Pasture Point Cove adjacent to the Indian River Bay (38.5810075, -75.0876337 northwest corner), Ocean View, Sussex County, DE

Delaware Center for the Inland Bays (N/A) – To create an intertidal artificial oyster reef constructed with distinct subunits composed of three (3) large shell coir bag diamonds, four (4) small shell coir bag diamonds, four (4) large shell coir log diamonds, and three (3) small shell coir log diamonds, occupying 778 square feet and construct signage in Old Basin Cove adjacent to the Indian River Bay (38.5967200, -75.0691659 west corner), Bethany Beach, Sussex County, DE

Please indicate in your letter whether your intention is to request a public hearing or whether you are simply providing comments for the Department’s consideration. If a public hearing is desired, please be advised that a public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
