The EPCRA Reporting Program is located in the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control’s Emergency Prevention and Response Section. This program is responsible for the collection and dissemination of information reported under the federal and state Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Acts (EPCRA).

The Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act includes a number of reporting requirements for businesses, covering information on the storage, use and release of hazardous and toxic chemicals. Hazardous Chemical Inventory and related information is entered into a computer system for distribution to emergency planning and response organizations statewide. Toxics Release Inventory data is also computerized, and annual reports prepared and released to the public.
