7 DE Admin. Code 1102 Natural Minor Permit Application: DuPont Nutrition USA, Inc.

Notice has been given that:

DuPont Nutrition USA, Inc. – Newark Site (formerly known as FMC Corporation), requests a temporary operating permit for a portable 50 MMBtu/hr natural gas fired boiler with a low NOx burner at their 1301 Ogletown Road, Newark and County of New Castle facility. The portable boiler will temporarily provide steam to the Facility while their permanent boiler undergoes major repairs. DuPont Nutrition USA, Inc. – Newark Site anticipates that the permanent boiler will be returned to service and the temporary boiler removed within ninety (90) days of the commencement of repair activities. The temporary boiler will be permitted to emit 1.94 tons of Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), 4.45 tons of Carbon Monoxide (CO), 0.29 ton of Total Hydrocarbons (THC), 0.03 ton of Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and 0.40 ton of Particulate Matter (PM) by Permit #  APC-2020/0014 – CONSTRUCTION/OPERATION-TEMPORARY.

A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending October 30, 2019.  A request for a hearing shall be in writing.  The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
