Mercersburg Academy has requested an allocation permit for one proposed irrigation well. The maximum daily withdrawal is 1,224,000 gallons per day. The well will be located northeast of Bridgeville in Sussex County, near the intersection of Sunnyside Road and Speed Horse Lane. Tax parcel 430-11.00-14.00.

Workman RR Farms, LLC has requested an allocation permit for one proposed irrigation well. The maximum daily withdrawal is 936,000 gallons per day. The well will be located northwest of Millsboro in Sussex County, near the intersection of Asketum Branch and Parsons Roads. Tax parcel 133-9.00-6.00.

J.G. Townsend, Jr. and Co. has requested a renewal of its industrial water allocation for one existing industrial well. The maximum daily withdrawal is 500,000 gallons per day. The well is located within the town limits of Georgetown in Sussex County, near the intersection of New and Race Streets. Tax parcel 135-14.20-124.00.

Kraft Heinz Co. has requested a renewal and modification of its industrial water allocation for two existing industrial wells. The maximum daily withdrawal is 600,000 gallons per day. The wells are located within the town limits of Dover in Kent County, near the intersection of North Street and Enterprise Place. Tax parcel ED-05-76.00-01-12.00.

Thomas W. Wright, Trustee has requested an allocation permit for one proposed irrigation well. The maximum daily withdrawal 720,000 gallons per day. The well will be located southwest of Laurel in Sussex County, near the intersection of Airport Road and Sharptown Roads. Tax parcel 432-7.00-21.00.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received by February 3, 2020, at 4:30 p.m.  A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
