Public Hearing: Veolia North America Regeneration Services Coastal Zone Permit

In accordance with the Delaware Coastal Zone Act (7 Del. Code, Ch. 70), and the “Regulations Governing Delaware’s Coastal Zone,” this notice is to announce that the Department of Natural Resources & Environmental Control (DNREC) will conduct a public hearing on an Application for a Coastal Zone Act Permit received from Veolia North America Regeneration Services, LLC (“applicant”).  The applicant is seeking a Coastal Zone permit to increase sulfuric acid regeneration of 550 tons per day, as allowed by existing permit #406, to 750 tons per day at their facility near New Castle, Delaware.

The application, which can be reviewed at dnrec.delaware.gov/coastal-zone-act/, is considered to be preliminarily, administratively complete and sufficient to proceed to public hearing.  The public hearing will be held on July 16, 2019 at the DNREC office building at 391 Lukens Drive, New Castle, DE, 19720 beginning at 6:00 p.m.  Interested persons may contact Erin Wilson at (302) 735-3480 for more information.
