The Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) is a publicly available data set containing information reported annually for toxic chemicals manufactured, processed, or otherwise used by certain facilities in Delaware and throughout the United States.

Each year, these facilities report releases and waste management information for covered chemicals. The facilities report the data to both the EPA and the state. The EPA prepares a variety of analyses of the data, including state-specific reports, and provides a multitude of tools for public access to and evaluation of the TRI data. Finding TRI Data From the EPA

Delaware data is available through the national search tool at the bottom of this EPA Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) Program page. To get help on use of this search tool, select “how to search” on the upper right of the box, or watch the short instructional video near the bottom.

EPA TRI National Analysis

Delaware TRI data is included in the EPA’s National Analysis. The EPA prepares separate fact sheets each year for Delaware and other states. This page allows a user to select a state and a year of interest.

TRI Data and Tools

The EPA also makes national TRI data available through multiple online tools, many of which add context and assist with data evaluation.

Archived Delaware TRI Reports

Prior to the 2020 data, Delaware prepared and released separate annual State TRI reports. Given availability of ever expanding EPA TRI data analyses and data tools, this effort has been curtailed and the reports archived.
