Wastewater Facilities Construction Permit Applications: Town of Millsboro

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Water, hereby gives notice that a permit application has been received from:

Town of Millsboro, Delaware, to install one grinder pump station with dual pumps; two thousand, five hundred and eighty five linear feet of two inch (2,585 LF of 2”) diameter low pressure force main; and related appurtenances, to serve Delmarva Power, located at 700 E. Dupont Boulevard, Sussex County, Delaware. The grinder pump station will be located adjacent to the Delmarva Power building. The low pressure forcemain will run northwest along Handy Road (SCR 337), then northeast along Dickerson Road (SCR 337A) and terminate at a gravity sewer manhole, located at the intersection of Dickerson Road (SCR 337A) and Dupont Boulevard (US Rt. 113).

A public hearing concerning the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious request for a hearing is received on or before October 18, 2020. A request for a public hearing shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
