The State of Delaware (Deerfield Golf Club) has requested a renewal of its golf course water allocation for two existing irrigation surface intakes. The maximum daily withdrawal is 225,000 gallons per day. The intakes are located north of Newark in New Castle County, near the intersection of Thompson Station and Smithmill Roads. Tax parcels 0804000047 and 0804600004.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received by December 7, 2020, at 4:30 p.m. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
