Notification of Public Comment for a Brownfield Development Agreement for the Taylor Landfill, Glasgow, Site (DE-0089)

Pursuant to the Hazardous Substance Cleanup Act (HSCA), 7 Del. C. Chapter 91, §9126, the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) is required to issue a public notice within twenty days after entering into negotiations for a Brownfield Development Agreement (BDA). A BDA is an agreement between DNREC and a Brownfield developer with respect to a Certified Brownfield Site that sets forth a scope of work and schedule of remedial activities during the development of the Site.

DNREC’s Remediation Section (DNREC-RS) negotiated a BDA with 2787 Partners, LLC regarding the Taylor Landfill, Glasgow Site (Site), located at 2787 Pulaski Highway, Newark, Delaware. Identified by New Castle County as tax parcel numbers 11-026.00-002 and 11-026.00-003, the Site may have had a release of hazardous substances as a result of historical activities on site. The public comment period begins on Monday, August 24, 2020 and will end at the close of the business day (4:30 p.m.) on Monday, September 12, 2020. Please submit written comments to the DNREC-RS Project Manager, Stephanie Gordon, at DNREC-RS, 391 Lukens Drive, New Castle, DE 19720.
