Wastewater Facilities Construction Permit Application: Beebe Medical Center, Inc.

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Water, hereby gives notice that a permit application has been received from:

Beebe Medical Center, Inc. proposes to construct a submersible sanitary sewer pump station and approximately one thousand six hundred and forty linear feet (1,640 LF) of four (4) inch diameter force main to serve a four (4) story one hundred and thirty-six thousand square foot (136,000 S.F.) surgical hospital to be located on the northeast side of Warrington Road just south of the intersection with the John J. Williams Highway (Rt. 24) near Rehoboth Beach in Sussex County.  The proposed force main will discharge to the adjacent Beebe Medical property that contains the Bookhammer and Tunnell Center buildings.

A public hearing concerning the above application will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious request for a hearing is received on or before July 31, 2019. A request for a public hearing shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
