Water Allocation Permit Applications

Artesian Water Company, Inc. has applied for an allocation of its Dagsboro public well which will be connected to a larger system serving approximately 11,800 residential and 4,000 transient people in Sussex County.  The application includes one existing public well. The requested allocation is 1.296 MG per day, 38.88 MG per month, and 365.0 MG per year.

Carol Lohrmann has requested an allocation permit for one proposed irrigation well. The maximum daily withdrawal is 720,000 gallons per day. The well will be located northwest of Magnolia in Kent County, near the intersection of State Street and Woodlytown Road. Tax parcel NM-00-104.00-02-60.00.

Richard Wilkins has requested an allocation permit for two existing irrigation wells. The maximum daily withdrawal is 2,016,000 gallons per day. The wells are located east of Farmington in Kent County, near the intersection of Deep Grass Lane and Messobov Road. Tax parcel MN00-195.00-01-09.00.

Richard Wilkins has requested an allocation permit for one existing irrigation well. The maximum daily withdrawal is 1,296,000 gallons per day. The well is located southwest of Milford in Sussex County, near the intersection of Griffith Lake Drive and Abbotts Pond Road. Tax parcel 130-2.00-19.00.

Richard Wilkins has requested an allocation permit for one existing irrigation well. The maximum daily withdrawal is 1,008,000 gallons per day. The well is located southwest of Milford in Sussex County, near the intersection of Shawnee and Abbotts Pond Roads. Tax parcel 130-3.00-65.01.

County Road 78, LP has requested an allocation permit for one existing irrigation well. The maximum daily withdrawal is 864,000 gallons per day. The well is located northwest of Harrington in Kent County, near the intersection of Hopkins Cemetery and Little Mastens Corner Roads. Tax parcel MN00-159.00-01-49.00.

James Lindale has requested an allocation permit for one existing surface intake. The maximum daily withdrawal is 792,000 gallons per day. The intake is located southwest of Milford in Sussex County, near the intersection of Abbotts Pond and Lindale Roads. Tax parcel 130-5.00-19.00.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received by December 9, 2019, at 4:30 p.m.  A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
