George R. Whaley, Jr. Trustee has requested an allocation permit for one proposed irrigation well. The maximum daily withdrawal is 720,000 gallons per day. The well will be located east of Laurel in Sussex County, near the intersection of Laurel and Dirt Roads. Tax parcel 232-18.00-17.00.

Harim Millsboro, LLC has requested an allocation permit for one proposed irrigation well. The maximum daily withdrawal is 1,152,000 gallons per day. The well will be located south of Bridgeville in Sussex County, near the intersection of Wesley Church Road and Crisco Lane. Tax parcel 131-14.00-21.00.

The Horsey Family, LLC has requested an allocation permit for one proposed and one existing irrigation well. The maximum daily withdrawal is 1,224,000 gallons per day. The wells will be located west of Millsboro in Sussex County, near the intersection of Beaver Dam Branch and Cooper Roads. Tax parcel 232-2.00-5.00.

Atlantic Concrete Co., Inc. has requested an industrial allocation permit for one proposed industrial well. The maximum daily withdrawal is 180,000 gallons per day. The well will be located south of Harrington in Kent County, near the intersection of South DuPont Highway and State Fair Boulevard. Tax parcel MN-00-180.00-02-21.00.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received by July 13, 2020, at 4:30 p.m.  A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
