Wastewater Facilities Construction Permit Application: J.G. Townsend Jr. & Co.

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Water, hereby gives notice that a permit application has been received from:

J.G. Townsend Jr. & Co. proposes to construct a submersible sanitary sewer pump station, an emergency generator and approximately one thousand linear feet (1,000 LF) of two (2) inch diameter force main to partially serve two hundred and forty seven (247) single family homes, a pool, clubhouse and an amenity outbuilding in the proposed Fieldstone subdivision.  The proposed subdivision is to be located along Cedar Grove Road approximately 1,500 ft. south of the Mulberry Knoll intersection north of Rehoboth Beach in Sussex County, Delaware.  The force main will be installed within the proposed subdivision along Fairbanks Court and discharge to a gravity sewer manhole within the subdivision.

A public hearing concerning the above application will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious request for a hearing is received on or before April 8, 2020. A request for a public hearing shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
