Water Supply Allocation Permit Applications

Jimmy Warren has requested an allocation permit for four proposed irrigation wells. The maximum daily withdrawal is 576,000 gallons per day. The wells will be located west of Harrington in Kent County, near the intersection of Pear Tree Lane and Layton Corners Road. Tax parcel MN-00-177.00-01-51.00.

Linda Brittingham has requested an allocation permit for one proposed irrigation well. The maximum daily withdrawal is 432,000 gallons per day. The well will be located southwest of Millsboro in Sussex County, near the intersection of Phillips Hill and Cross Key Roads. Tax parcel 133-19.00-21.00.

Linda Brittingham has requested an allocation permit for two proposed irrigation wells. The maximum daily withdrawal is 720,000 gallons per day. The wells will be located southwest of Millsboro in Sussex County, near the intersection of Phillips Hill and Jones Store Roads. Tax parcel 133-18.00-11.00.

Lostens Dairy Limited Partnership has requested an allocation permit for four proposed irrigation wells. The maximum daily withdrawal is 2,304,000 gallons per day. The wells will be located south of Newark in New Castle County, near the intersection of Steele and Chesapeake City Roads. Tax parcel 11-049.00-001.

Stephen F. Tatman, Trustee has requested an allocation permit for two proposed irrigation wells. The maximum daily withdrawal is 1,296,000 gallons per day. The wells will be located east of Bridgeville in Sussex County, near the intersection of Sunnyside and Sharps Mill Roads. Tax parcel 430-15.00-4.00.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received by March 9, 2020, at 4:30 p.m.  A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
